About Vega Trading

Vega Trading is a free options day-trading analyzer built for traders who already understand the basics and want a faster way to check the math before they click buy. Enter a ticker, a strike, and the option price you're actually being quoted, and the tool estimates the Greeks, models an IV crush scenario, and scores the setup on risk/reward and position sizing.

It was built out of a simple frustration: broker platforms show you a chain, not a decision. Knowing an option's delta is 0.30 doesn't tell you whether the trade is well-sized relative to your account, whether theta will eat the position before your thesis plays out, or what happens to the price if implied volatility collapses the moment the catalyst passes. Vega Trading exists to answer those questions in the ten seconds before an order gets placed, not after.

What It Actually Calculates

Who It's For

Retail options traders, particularly those trading index products like QQQ around scheduled catalysts — FOMC decisions, CPI prints, and earnings — where implied volatility behaves in ways that aren't obvious from price alone. It assumes you already know what a call and a put are; it isn't a beginner's course, it's a calculator for people already at the table.

What It Isn't

Vega Trading is an educational and analytical tool, not a broker, not a signal service, and not financial advice. It doesn't execute trades, hold your data, or recommend specific positions. Every number it produces is an estimate meant to inform your own decision — always verify against your broker's live chain before acting. See the full risk disclosure for detail.
